Some heat and some eats....

Day 26: Monday 25th May, 2026.

Bergen, Norway

A leisurely breakfast of Norwegian buns and coffee, that had been foraged by Cal and Cesca...

....and then alighted the lightrail to the airport, to get our passports stamped ...

...which took a bit longer than expected...so just enough time to grab a spot of late lunch at Olivia's Italian, and giggle at some signage...

...before donning our swimwear and spending our afternoon in Heit Marineholmen, a fantastic floating wood-fired sauna...

...where we all took a cool plunge or two...

...some of us unable to hide their discomfort...

...and some of us scaring the locals and wildlife more than others...

...then back to the boat for showers ...

...and suitably recharged, headed out to explore Bryggen once more, and its surrounding damp streets...(Bergen is the rainiest city in Europe with a whopping 230-240 wet days a year! Heat wave - what heat wave? but still beautiful with a great vibe)

...before indulging in an amazing 10 course tasting menu at 'Basso Social' and then having a circuitous but happy amble home to the boat...

...for another good night's sleep.
