Day 69: Saturday 18th July, 2026
Duration: 8hrs 20mins
After another windy night, we awoke to the unusual sight of sunshine on the mountains of Reine and its' harbour below...

...so after a quick breakfast we untied and made way...saying goodbye to the Lofoten Islands..

...and were treated to one more of her beautiful rainbows as we entered Vestfjorden one last time...this time heading south east...

The winds were good for the Captain to do a spot of real sailing in the gently rolling seas and brighter skies...and 50miles later we reached the archipelego of Fleinvaer - a group of around 230 low-lying islets that sit 25km south west of Bodo... where we chose to tie up to a small guest pontoon ...

...that sits next to the funky wee artistic hub of the 'Arctic Hideaway'...an off-grid, device-free architecturally designed cluster of single cabins that strive to 'foster creative stillness, slow reflection and a connection to nature' with its communal kitchen house, wood-fired sauna and bath house...

...We happily went ashore and took a closer look, as well as enjoying a short loop of the pretty island...

...before returning to the boat for dinner and an earlyish bed...

...too early to see the sun fully set which it has now started to do around midnight...
