Bikes, beaches and a bright light in the sky...

Day 77: Sunday 26th July, 2026.
Kuringvagen
After a windy night and a good nights sleep we had a leisurely get up, and debated whether to do a very small hop later in the day when the winds dropped for a few hours, but decided to opt for some longer legs and a few days safely tucked into this delightful and well-sheltered harbour.
Although the day had gale force gusts it was to be dry, so we grabbed lunch at Kuringvagen Brygge,...
...and then got on our trusty bikes to do the 20km round trip to Stokkoya Island...
...a small 6.4square mile island, with the 400m white Hosnasand beach...
...and its funky Stokkoya Beach hotel, with its Eco cabins with subterranean bedrooms buried under the sand,
...and its beach bar, private coastal cabins, camping, and those familiar well signed loos...
...A lovely walk along the beach, without a jacket on!!!....
...and then a sunny cycle home...
...to enjoy the beautiful and rare sight of the sun going down...ready for another gusty night and rainier day ahead...
