Day 6 & 7: Tues 5th/Wed 6th May 2026.
Another night in Oban; Oban to Loch Corry, Morvern
Duration: 2 hours; Wildlife seen - grey seal; red deer, wild goats, distant eagle, 2 porpoises.
Spent a lovely day at La Cala, catching up with Granny and Grandpa. The Captain was also able to make the most of the day ashore, and service the troublesome bow thruster thoroughly. At days' end, another beautiful sunset for our last night ashore....

which just got better ....

....and better!

Awoke to a clement, but still chilly morning, and after some heartfelt and grateful goodbyes, Granny kindly drove us back to the pontoons... to meet with a marine engineer who gave the Captains fine work the once over, a few tips for going forward if it plays up again, and an engineers nod for safe departure...

So it was time to bid Oban adieu.....

....and motor-sail up up past the Connel Bridge, and the East side of Lismore....

to pick up a mooring buoy at Loch Corry on the Morvern penisula...

and go ashore for a short walk on the Kingairloch Estate, along the shore, passing some lovely cottages ...

and some indignant red deer (looks stuffed dunnit)...

Then back to the boat for dinner and an early night.

Lovely to have you stay and help with some chores and cooking.
Safe onward travel. xx
