Days 13 - 15 : Tuesday 12th May to Thursday 14th May 2026
Dochgarroch; Dochgarroch to Seaport Marina, Inverness.
Day 13: Tuesday 12th May 2026
Awoke to yet more forecasts of strong cold gusty winds for the next few days, so we are in no hurry to exit the Canal. Today we took a 20km walk along the canal and explored Inverness

and had another night at Dochgarroch.
Day 14: Wednesday 13th May 2026.
Dochgarroch to Seaport Marina, Inverness.
Duration: 1.5 hrs
Awoke to a bleak forecast, but a bit of sunshine so decided to take the boat down to Seaport Marina to be in a good position for exiting the Canal if the weather ever breaks!!
The first lock at Dochgarroch was in the sun...

...but the next four at the Muirhead Flight were very cold and very wet...

... so it was good to come into the nice wee marina at Seaport and get warmed up and get on with some housekeeping...

Whilst the rubbish and laundry were done, the skipper also found time to add a new title to his captaincy - he is now the 'khazi stasi 'and is proud owner of a new monitoring device and app that sees how full our toilet holding tanks are in real time - the sooner we get sailing again the better!!
Day 15: Thursday 14th May 2026.
Seaport Marina.
Another blustery day so we decided to go to the Eden Court Theatre and see a documentary on George Orwell called "Orwell: 2 + 2 = 5" by Raoul Peck, which was good in parts but a bit slow and a bit long, and then did an excellent vinyasa yoga class at Soul Seeker Yoga.

The forecast is finally looking a bit better so we plan to exit the canal tomorrow afternoon and anchor at Fortrose....let's hope the weather Gods play ball......
