Day 31: Saturday 30th May, 2026.
Feste to Dingja, (at the mouth of Sognefjord)
Duration 4.5 hours
After a good night's sleep we were awoken at 7am by the first Ferry's wash hitting the jetty.
Warm, but a tad misty...we cast off and headed North once more...

...initially following the route we had taken by bike yesterday...and then through Lurefjord, crossing Fensfjord, and up Brandangersund...toward our final destination for today the mouth of Sognefjord...

...Initial clear skies transmuted into a thicker haar-like mist...

and then receded again ...with a few tight squeezes past the oncoming ferries...

...and underneath bridges - that always seem much lower than they are...

Passing more lovely houses of all shapes and sizes...

...then finding the area less populated, with multitude of rocky skerries...

...and gradually approached some higher, atmospherically clouded peaks...

...which gradually became more defined...

...and then we spied our destination for today...Dingje Marina...

...a lovely wee marina, with a nice long quiet jetty all to ourselves...and a sentinel seagull to keep watch over the boat ...

...whilst we went ashore for a lovely 5km walk...

...breathing in the smell of the soft and verdant trees..

...and admiring the little colourful boat sheds awaiting the season to begin...

...but then we noticed the spooky troll like doll...

...and decided it was time to return to the boat!!....

...and reward ourselves with the indulgence of another wee sauna...

...and then a lovely dinner aboard, and work out the plan for the next few days....
