What is that huge bright light in the sky?

Day 29: Thursday 28 May, 2026.

Bergen

Awoke to the rare occurence of blue and sunny skies - a perfect day for another hike...so over the bridge to pick up a picnic lunch ...

...and then off we went to ascend Floyen, another of the seven surrounding mountains of Bergen. Around 400m high, it has lots of fantastic walking trails to choose from, and lots of lovely views to be had...

We chose to walk up, and when we reached the funicular and its cafes, we came upon crowds and some friendly Floyen cashmere goats, which are used to keep the vegetation down...

Their big chunky solar powered battery collars are 'nofence' to keep them in a designated area ...

...So, a quick coffee at the hub, and then a lovely 3 hour loop...

...and then back to the funicular...

...to go back to the boat and catch up on some blogging and prep for our departure from lovely Bergen tomorrow...
